Bahraini authorities confirmed that a residential building in the northern Muharraq Governorate sustained damage, though no injuries or fatalities were reported.
The Bahraini military accused Iran of deliberately targeting civilians and private property, describing the attacks as violations of international humanitarian law. Officials stated that all branches of the country’s armed forces remain on maximum alert and urged residents to avoid any suspicious objects that could be remnants of intercepted projectiles.
In neighboring Kuwait, the armed forces reported intercepting two hostile ballistic missiles without any resulting damage or casualties. The Kuwaiti government strongly condemned the incident, calling it a serious breach of national sovereignty and reaffirming its right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its territory and citizens.
The developments came after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility for missile and drone strikes against American military installations in Bahrain and Kuwait, describing the operation as retaliation for recent US attacks on Iranian positions and alleged actions affecting commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
