Iran’s Parliament Speaker and chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has strongly rejected recent US threats, declaring that Tehran remains unfazed by American pressure. In a statement shared on X, Ghalibaf argued that if US threats had been effective, Washington would not be facing what he described as a position of “desperation.”
He emphasized that Iran does not base its decisions on US warnings and instead relies on its own strategic calculations. Ghalibaf also cautioned US officials to be careful with their rhetoric, warning that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to respond in a different manner if required.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States, with both sides continuing to exchange sharp statements over regional security and military issues. Ghalibaf’s comments reinforce Tehran’s position that it will not yield to external pressure and is prepared to defend its interests if challenged.
