Iran’s top negotiating delegation has left Switzerland for Tehran after 18 hours of intensive discussions with US counterparts, according to Iranian state media reports. The high-level team included Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Abbas Araghchi, Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati, Deputy Oil Minister Hamid Boord, and senior nuclear negotiator Ali Bakri. While the political delegation has returned, the technical team led by Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi remains in Switzerland to continue detailed negotiations, focusing on the Islamabad memorandum of understanding. The talks are seen as part of ongoing efforts to manage tensions and explore potential frameworks for broader diplomatic engagement between Iran and the United States.
