At least 32 people have been killed in Israeli attacks across Lebanon since dawn, according to Lebanese authorities, despite ongoing efforts to maintain a ceasefire. The latest wave of airstrikes targeted several areas across the country, increasing fears of renewed escalation and worsening the humanitarian situation.
One of the deadliest attacks struck a residential house in Sohmor, located in Lebanon’s western Bekaa region. Local reports said a family was inside the home when it was hit, killing four people and injuring another. Rescue teams continued searching through the rubble for a child believed to be trapped beneath the collapsed building.
Another major strike targeted Qanarit in the Sidon district, where Lebanon’s Health Emergency Operations Centre reported at least seven fatalities and 13 injuries in an initial assessment. Emergency crews rushed to the area to assist the wounded and search for additional victims.
The continued strikes come despite international efforts to preserve a ceasefire and reduce cross-border hostilities. The latest attacks have raised concerns over civilian safety, with multiple residential areas reportedly affected. Rescue and medical teams remain deployed as authorities assess the full extent of the damage and casualties.
The rising death toll highlights the fragile security situation in Lebanon and underscores growing international concern over the humanitarian impact of the ongoing conflict. Officials are expected to provide updated casualty figures as search-and-rescue operations continue.
