A 26-year-old man was arrested in Rotterdam, Netherlands, after two men were injured in separate stabbing incidents reported across the city on Saturday, according to Dutch police and local media.
The attacks reportedly occurred at Schaepmanstraat and Marconiplein, areas west of Rotterdam’s city center. Around 30 minutes later, another stabbing attempt was reported at the Brug Van Cyrene bridge.
One of the injured victims was taken to hospital for treatment. Dutch police said they believe a single suspect, who had been traveling by car, may be responsible for the incidents.
The suspect was subsequently arrested as authorities continued investigating the circumstances surrounding the attacks. Further details about the victims, the suspect’s motive and whether the incidents were deliberately connected had not been established in the initial reports.
