The Israeli military has confirmed significant battlefield losses following intense clashes in southern Lebanon, reporting that four soldiers were killed during ground combat operations near the border region. Among the deceased was Lieutenant Dor Gedalia Ben Simhon, 32, commander of the 52nd Battalion in the 41st Brigade.
In a separate incident, the Israeli army also stated that five additional soldiers were injured overnight after an explosive drone struck their position. One of the injured is reported to be in severe condition, according to the military update.
These developments come amid escalating cross-border tensions and continued hostilities in southern Lebanon, where military operations have intensified in recent days. The latest casualties underscore the growing volatility of the region as armed exchanges and drone attacks continue to impact frontline forces.
